The road you never wanted to travel.

When most people think about sickness, they think about symptoms, they take themselves to a place mentally or physically that they can relate to. Some people who have had bad experiences with sickness personally or have gone through the pain with a loved one, will choose to be numb or apathetic because of the uncomfortable feelings that arise. We weren't called to be comfortable. We were called to be lovers. Lord; "what does that look like?" Life isn't meant to be comfortable. I think about some of the accounts of me telling people my story and different responses I've been given. I suppose it's very hard to understand or relate to a pain you can't see and nobody you know has ever gone through anything similar.  Why sickness?  Why me?  I'm don't know, but I don't have to, cause the Lord holds my story in His hands.

I just know that I don't want to be a priest or a levite. I don't want to be numb to people's pain. I don't want to look away. I don't want to be apathetic when people are drowning and fading away. Suffering is a prerequisite to helping hurting people. You won't know how to comfort till you've known the depths of pain. We all have our own stories, and well you may think your the only one. What a lie from the enemy. There is a reason your on this journey, it's so you can be a beacon of light to others that will GO THROUGH this storm after you. You hold the World's only hope in you; Jesus Christ!

I want to be a good Samaritan. I believe that the Lord is sick of our complacency, He's sick of us fighting against Him. He longs for wholeheartedness. He's calling us to wake up and then rise up those dry bones. To no longer defile ourselves with idols, vile images, or offenses. The Lord will save us from our sinful backsliding no matter how far gone we may feel. The Lord is there to recieve and cleanse us. ( Ezekial 37 ) We need to stretch out our hands today. Don't go your own way in peace saying, be ye warmed and filled, while not attending to the physical needs, for what good is it? -James 2:16 Don't turn a blind eye. Don't dull your spirit, let the Lord draw you away. Jesus you are our only hope, answer and cure!

"I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born," says the Lord. Isaiah 66:9 ncv

Preaching to the Choir

men share battle wounds, women share stories.

In the struggle, it takes faith to stand.
