God will not be ignored, He may allow people to be hurt, broken, angry, pressed, sick, sad, tired, depressed in essence; lacking so He alone can fill the depths that cry out "I must have more!" He must prepare His saints by tenderizing our hearts. Have you ever asked the Lord to soften your heart? Often we ask the Lord to tenderize our hearts not fully understanding the process. To tenderize : piercing, pounding, braising (seared at high heat), blades and needles are also used to break down connective tissues that bind us to the things of this world. Oh, but the outcome is glorious! Let's look at the next part of tenderizing: marinating; to marry flavors, to soak, to infuse or let sit to extract a flavor or to cleanse. So Abba allows us to be broken so that we can see our lack can only be filled by him, so we sit, we wait, we become immersed in Him. He wants His bride to smell just like Him! He wants us to know the heart of The Unshakeable One.
2 Corinthians 2:14-17 - 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
